About the Artist

Jeff is a lifelong native of the Kansas City metro area, with over 30 years of experience in broadcast news, commercial photography, still photography, and portraiture. He began his illustrious photography career while in the sixth grade, and received his first paid photography job at age 15. Shortly thereafter, at age 17, his photography was featured on the front page of the New York Times. He is highly respected in both the photography and videography communities, and he has received many awards, including multiple Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow. 

Jeff is also an RC enthusiast who has been flying UAVs for more than 15 years. In 2016, He obtained his FAA Commercial Unmanned Aerial Pilot in Charge (PIC) certification through Kansas State University.  Jeff handles a variety of news, sports, and corporate shoots, in addition to his established talent of still photography. His videos have aired on ESPN, ABC News, CBS News, Good Morning America, 20/20, FOX Sports 1, NFL Network, and NBC News Channel. In the corporate area, Jeff has worked with a wide variety of clients, including the Heavy Constructors Association, DST Systems, Pyramid Contractors, The University of Kansas Medical Center, and the Greater Kansas City Building trades, as well as numerous local and statewide political campaigns. He has also served on the boards of the National Press Photographers Association and SAG-AFTRA.

Jeff currently works as a drone operator for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, while continuing to shoot video for various news channels. He is also available for photography services of all types.
